Clovis Elementary School will plan and implement lessons and activities promoting character development based on Positivity Project's 24 character strengths.

 

Positive psychology’s 24 character strengths serve as the foundation of The Positivity Project’s approach. The Positivity Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated partnering with K-12 schools and helping America’s youth build stronger relationships by seeing the character strengths in themselves and others. Only by consistently teaching our youth about the character strengths that everyone possesses, will they see people based on the content of their character.

 

P2 for Families is an easy and effective way for families to discuss the importance of character strengths and positive relationships. It is differentiated for grades Pre-K to 2nd grade, 3rd through 5th grade, and 6th-8th grade. Each character strength follows a 1-1-3 model: 1 quote, 1 video, and 3 questions to drive conversations around character at home.
